As diplomats pointed out, such actions did not and will not be able to influence the Russian line in international affairs, including interaction with the authorities of Venezuela, Syria, Iran or any other country.
"The destructive sanctions policy of the United States is increasingly undermining the freedom of world trade, for which the Americans are verbally advocating, and increasing international tension," the Foreign Ministry added.
As the agency noted, it is time for politicians in Washington to realize that they will not achieve anything by economic and military pressure on Russia, but only exacerbate the crisis in bilateral relations.
Earlier, the United States announced the imposition of sanctions against the vice president of Rosneft, Didier Kasimiro.
The Venezuelan sanctions list also included the Rosneft Trading SA structural unit, whose chairman of the board is Kashimiro.
