The University of Pisa broke the news.

The surgeon wore a special augmented reality visor, Vostars. With the viewer, the surgeon has the possibility to add essential information about the patient and to guide him during the operation without using an external monitor.

Vostars is the result of a European project, coordinated by the University of Pisa, which involved scientists and technicians from four different countries for three years.
