Insurance companies notice concerns after the weather

Borås and its environs were severely affected by the weekend's storms. Länsförsäkringar Älvsborg has received hundreds of claims reports linked to the storm since last Sunday. And many have called because they are worried about the high water flows. - It is a worrying location in our area, says accident prevention Anders Andershjem.



It has rained and rained. Due to all the rain, there are very high flows in the watercourses in Sjuhärad.

SMHI has evaluated a Class 2 warning for Viskan and Ätran. A Class 2 warning involves flows at a level that, on average, occurs between every tenth and every fifty years. And that can pose a danger to the public, major material damage and major disruptions in important social functions, according to SMHI.

Calls from worried

The insurance company Länsförsäkringar Älvsborg operates in the 19 municipalities that previously made up Älvsborg county. After the storm Dennis pulled out over the weekend, they have noticed that many have heard of the weather.

- You are worried, says accident prevention Anders Lindhjem at Länsförsäkringar Älvsborg.

At Länsförsäkringar Älvsborg, around 180 claims have been received in connection with the storm since last Sunday. To this should be added the damage that hit the vehicle.
