A brave shopper managed to block a thief who escaped from a mall after he drove his car in front of the thief to land him, and helped the police arrest him.

The British newspaper "Daily Mail" said that the accident occurred in the parking lot of a shopping center in the US state of Georgia. The police thanked the brave and anonymous shopper for the "accurate timing" of his disability, but the police did not encourage the public to interfere in such cases.

Marcus Smith, 41, was charged with the crime of shoplifting. Treatment for the suspect was provided on site by paramedics, but he was not injured.

The video footage shows a man running away in the parking lot of a crowded shopping center and rushing off, with a police man chasing after him. The shopper noticed what was going on in front of him, and at a critical moment of quick thinking, he pushed his shopping cart towards the suspect and put him on the ground, and moments later, police officers arrived to catch the thief.
