February 17, 2020 6.30 An armed group attacked a village in northwest Cameroon, a province populated by the English-speaking minority, killing 22 people, the majority of children aged between 5 and 9, and women, including a pregnant woman. This was announced by the head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs for the north-western and south-western regions of Cameroon. The two provinces are devastated by three years of fighting between the army and separatist rebels.
