Social networks have multiple uses, sometimes very far from what they were created for. A couple in their thirties experienced it on February 14, in Meyzieu near Lyon. According to information from Progress, after having contacted a interlocutor via Snapchat in order to buy him contraband cigarettes, the man and the woman fell into a trap.

At 9 p.m. Friday, after agreeing with the seller of cigarettes to buy him 1,000 euros worth of goods, the couple went to the meeting place. But while the meeting was to take place in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in Meyzieu, the seller proposed that the sale be organized in a less exposed location, in an isolated parking lot. The couple did not distrust and went to the defined place.

Once there, the thirties found themselves facing three individuals, armed with a pistol and a telescopic baton, who forced them to hand over the amount of money without, of course, providing them with any cigarettes.

The three suspects fled. An investigation was opened by the departmental security.
