The Cheviré bridge in Nantes - J. Urbach / 20 Minutes

It is the only bridge to cross the Loire between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire. The Cheviré bridge has been closed to traffic in the north-south direction since 2:15 p.m., reports Bison Futé. A heavy goods vehicle accident occurred on the structure through which the Nantes ring road passes. The outer ring is therefore closed between the doors of the Estuary and Bouguenais.

The intervention teams are on site, specifies Bison Futé.

To cross the river and reach the south of the Nantes conurbation, it is therefore advisable to use the Bellevue bridge (eastern ring road) or to go through the bridges of the island of Nantes.

The Cheviré bridge is used by more than 100,000 vehicles per day.
