February 16, 2020A car on fire in Foggiano is still on fire. The episode occurred last night in Rignano Garganico. It is the second case in a few days. The car, a Ford Focus station wagon, of the unionist of the FIM (Italian Metalworkers Federation) Cisl, Michele Longo, burned in Piazza San Rocco. To tame the flames, the firefighters had to intervene, and the carabinieri who acquired the videos of the surveillance cameras on the spot. The episode, which took place around 5 in the morning, follows the analogous one of the Daunian capital, in via Machiavelli.

Union solidarity
"While waiting for the investigators to clarify, as soon as possible, the serious events of Foggia to the detriment of our two leaders, as national Fim we express all our solidarity with Michele Longo, the Provincial Secretariat of the FIM CISL and all the delegates and activists of the Fim Cisl of Foggia, which every day, find themselves carrying out their trade union activity in an area torn by criminal violence ". So the national secretariat of the Fim Cisl in a note in which it denounces a new attack that took place in the night in Foggia.

Furlan asks for full light on the case
The General Secretary of the CISL, Annamaria Furlan, expresses solidarity with Michele Longo: "This is the second serious act of intimidation in a few days against a CISL trade unionist on which the judicial authorities must shed full light.
