February 14, 2020 Two gunshots. With the first the 87-year-old from Rovigo killed his 78-year-old wife, with the second he tried to commit suicide.He is now in intensive care at the city hospital in desperate conditions.
The hypothesis is that of a murder-suicide but the causes of the extreme gesture are not yet known.
The incident took place in a two-story house in via Gramsci, in the Commenda district.
When the rescue arrived, the woman was already dead. Not far away was her husband, injured and in desperate conditions.
The elders left a letter signed by both, addressed to the two children, in which they apologized.
The gun used for murder and suicide attempt is a Beretta, which the man, a former hunter, regularly owned.
