In response, Secretary-General Kan said, "If China issues a digital RMB, it will affect the current dollar-based payment system."
Amari told reporters, "Digital currency is not something that Japan does on its own. It is important that countries, especially the dollar, have a common understanding of the digitalization of key currencies."
