The former mayor of Madrid Manuela Carmena has admitted that she was wrong to create More Madrid, the electoral brand with which she attended the last local elections. His candidacy was the most voted, but he failed to join with the other leftist parties to revalidate his mandate at the head of the Cibeles Palace.

"It was a platform designed for the union and ended up receiving, without coming to mind, an incomprehensible punishment," confessed the former governor in an interview on Radio Inter with Antonio Miguel Carmona, the former spokesman of the PSOE in the City Hall of the capital with who precisely signed his investiture pact in 2015.

In a relaxed conversation, Carmena explains that he decided to found Más Madrid with Íñigo Errejón because he thought that his candidacy should not be "an album of political party cards", but a group of "profiles of civil society with their ideology" but without "determining the designation of a party". To which he adds: "I was wrong, really . "

During her tenure, the former judge lamented repeatedly that the councilors cannot designate as delegates from the different areas of the City Council people who are not on the list with which they stand for elections , unlike the President of the Government and of the autonomous ones, who can sign as ministers and advisers -in their case- to people without deputy minutes.

Carmena's complaint was derived from the successive disagreements she had with several of the councilors on the Now Madrid list, of which she was head of the list in 2015, a merger of Podemos and a heterogeneous group named Ganemos.
