Former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced today, Friday, the end of the presidential settlement that brought President Michel Aoun to the presidency in 2016, and called for early parliamentary elections.

He said: "I announced from Baabda that I am with early parliamentary elections, and we invite everyone to think calmly and without bidding," adding that "the popular movement has become a partner in the political decision."

Hariri added, "The settlement lived three years, and today it is from the past and is a source of history." Some saw the settlement as a distribution of power, but we saw it as a way to prevent sedition from spreading and the possible way to stop the vacuum. ”

He pointed to the bad economic situation in Lebanon, saying, "We in Lebanon are not an economic island, apart from supporting the brothers."

He said, "Iran's money (cache) protects a party, but does not protect a country." He declared that "there are those who open daily problems at his expense with the Gulf countries that we need to stimulate tourism and open their markets to Lebanese products."
