Raisa Pletneva, born in 1958, the sentence was reduced from seven to six years in prison. She was convicted on April 13, 2016 by the Soviet District Court of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District under Art. 105 h. 1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Murder”). Pletneva killed her husband by strangling him with a scarf.

From the testimony of defense witnesses it follows that the deceased was constantly drinking, raising a woman’s hand, they often cursed. After one of the quarrels that occurred during the New Year holidays, Pletneva tried to leave the apartment, dressed, put on a scarf. A drunken husband pounced on her and began to pull the ends of the scarf. During the struggle, she was able to throw a scarf on him and began to tighten him. After her husband stopped showing signs of life, Pletneva tried to resuscitate him, she called the doctors and the police herself. She repented of her deed.

Marina Chernysheva, born in 1971, was convicted in April 2017 in Ulan-Ude for attempted murder of her ex-husband. She was sentenced to seven years in prison.

During a drunken quarrel in December 2016, a woman stabbed her ex-husband in response to the violence applied to her. The man, who was drunk, survived due to timely medical assistance. The initiator of the commutation of the sentence was the victim, who indicated that he himself provoked a conflict. He also expressed confidence that the convict did not seek to kill him.

Chernysheva's sentence has been reduced to five years in prison.
