Abu Dhabi Police revealed that about 355 motor vehicle drivers committed violations of non-compliance with the civilized appearance of the city and dumped their vehicles on the public road during the year 2019.

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate of the Central Operations Sector called on motorists to commit to preserving the environment and cultural appearance, and to abide by not throwing waste from their vehicles on the roads for whatever reasons, and to warn the passengers with them not to throw any waste.

The Director of the Abu Dhabi Traffic Department at the Directorate, Colonel Saif Hamad Al-Zaabi, urged the drivers to throw waste in the designated places and not to distort the cultural façade of the city.

He explained that the Traffic Law included in its articles articles that enhance the preservation and not harm the environment on the road, pointing out that the law applies to any driver who dump waste from his vehicle, whether he did that or accompanying him, and the violation includes any type of waste that is thrown from the vehicle.

It is mentioned that the violators, Article 71 of the Traffic Law, applies to them "dumping vehicles from the road while driving and violating the fine of 1000 dirhams, and registering 6 traffic points on them.
