“In connection with the fifth anniversary of the Minsk accords celebrated today, Russia requested on February 18 an open meeting of the UN Security Council with the participation of an OSCE representative to analyze the implementation of the agreements,” TASS quoted Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's first deputy envoy to the UN.

Earlier, the representative of Russia in the contact group on Ukraine, Boris Gryzlov, said that the Kiev authorities were in no hurry to implement the agreements of the "Norman Four" that were reached at the summit in Paris.

In December 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that there was no alternative to the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
