Men Association wants men to reflect more on their behavior, and how it affects the climate crisis.

Courses in Russia and Central Asia

The study material to be used in the study circle is based on research from, among others, Chalmers University of Technology and KTH. Call groups have been pilot tested in Järna, but this is the first time a study circle has been organized. The material will also be translated to allow courses to be held in Russia and Central Asia.

The idea of ​​starting conversation groups for men came after the metoo call.

- It starts with men's violence against women, it is built on and also includes men's violence against nature. We want to discuss men's norms and find power for change together, says Vidar Vetterfalk, project manager for the national association Men.

Gunnar Nordström believes that there is a risk that the study circle will attract those who are already involved in the environmental issue.

- That's why we work to be as inviting as possible. If you don't like me, you are very welcome to the study circle to share your opinions, he says.
