The police did not initiate a preliminary investigation and filed the police report.

"The Museum Act, which determines the role of museums as an independent arena for free viewing, has been put to the test in Norrköping," said Jeanette Gustafsdotter, Secretary General of the Swedish Museums in a statement, and continues:

- The museums are the memory of society and their mission is long-term and knowledge-based. That role is central to our democratic society. When a local politician reports to a museum for an exhibition, the Museum Act is challenged and it must be taken very seriously. We need to deepen the discussion on the role of the museum based on the Museum Act. It is important that the museums are free to fulfill their democratic mission.
