“The situation is significantly aggravated by the importation into the de-escalation zone through the Turkish-Syrian border of weapons and ammunition, as well as columns of Turkish armored vehicles and troops entering the territory of the Syrian province of Idlib,” the statement said.
The ministry also added that the reason for the aggravation of the situation in the region was the terrorist attacks repeatedly recorded by Russia and Turkey on neighboring peaceful regions of Syria, which led to retaliatory actions by government forces.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the reason for the aggravation of the situation in Syrian Idlib is Ankara's failure to fulfill its obligations.
