Fujairah misdemeanor court heard witnesses of proof in the case of two Arab women, accused of begging and asking for money to buy medicine for their mother.

Details revolve around the seizure of two Arab women begging in the area of Maryachid, knocking on the doors of houses, on the pretext of buying insulin medicine for their mother.

The first defendant said before the court that they had to knock on the neighbors' doors in search of money to buy medicine for controlling blood sugar for their mother, and they denied begging and collecting money.

The complainant told the court: While I was leaving my mother's house in the area of Maryachid, I saw a woman heading towards him, while the other was knocking on the door of my neighbor's house, as the first accused asked for money to buy a medicine, so I warned them not to beg.

He continued, "Once I got out of the neighborhood, the two women returned to knock on the doors, which made me notify the relevant authorities about them so that they could be seized to protect the people of the neighborhood, including my mother."

The court heard a witness who seized them, saying: "We received a communication from a citizen, stating that there are two women knocking on the doors to beg, so we moved to the location of the report and seized them, and by searching them we found no money except for some foods that were given to them by some of the neighborhood's people."

"By asking them why they were in the neighborhood, they said they lived in it, but they needed insulin, and they turned to the neighbors for help."
