- The fact that the court dropped one of the defendants depends on his actions before the deeds, that his DNA has been found on cartridge cases in the crime scene and that he has handled the victims' mobile phones after the acts. The other defendant, on the other hand, has not been able to be linked to the crime scene, says Eva-Lena Norgren, the chairman of the court, in a press release.

Two young men were found shot to death in a basement room last April, and two men were charged with, among other things, two cases of murder. According to the prosecutor, the background to the murders is a conflict over drug sales in the area.

District Court: Aggravating circumstances

According to the indictment, the suspected men had sued the victims, and then forced them into a basement room in a multi-family house near Sätra city center.

Since the convicted person has murdered two people and there are aggravating circumstances in the deeds, the district court has concluded that the penalty should be determined to life imprisonment.

- The victims have been forced into a confined space where they could not escape, they have been forced by their clothes and down to a sitting position. It has been a question of pure executions and the victims must have felt strong death anxiety, explains Eva-Lena Norgren.

"Must talk to my client"

The convicted man's lawyer, Johan Rainer, has not been able to read the verdict when SVT reaches him.

- I have only seen how it became in the media and I have to talk to my client before I leave any comments, he says.

Both defendants have denied the crime.
