The inhabitants of the Arve valley, regularly plagued by strong episodes of particle pollution, plan to take advantage of Emmanuel Macron's trip to the Alps on Thursday, around the protection of the Mont-Blanc massif, to challenge him about their situation.

The President of the Republic is due to announce measures to protect the Mont-Blanc massif on Thursday, threatened by overcrowding and incivility. Emmanuel Macron dines on Wednesday evening in a refuge, which overlooks the Mer de Glace, and meets the next day the mayor of Saint-Gervais who had arrested him in September on the "howlings who do anything" on the roof of the 'Europe. The inhabitants of the Arve valley, which has become the most polluted in France due to the passage of heavy goods vehicles coming or heading for Italy, also plan to take advantage of the visit of the Head of State to arrest him on this other issue.

The Coll'Air Pur collective and the association Pour la qualité de vie à Passy plan to give Emmanuel Macron a file detailing the effects of human activity on the environment of the valley. "The President of the Republic must be aware of the extent of the disaster in the Arve valley and have the courage to say that he will give everyone the means to act to help us find a breathable valley ", concludes Mallory Guyon.
