Astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri, the first Emirati astronaut to reach space, presented during the "Education Interface" conference and the "Youth in the Middle East 2020" conference, which concluded its activities today in Abu Dhabi, a detailed explanation of his experience in space.

Astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri said, “Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on his wealth, had a vision and interest in the space sector, and perhaps a dream that the Emirates would have astronauts, and the dream has become a reality, and the words of Sheikh Zayed and his ambition will be fulfilled today, and I wish that Sheikh Zayed was among us. That started forty years ago. ”

He continued, "Today, the UAE provides the tools necessary to achieve achievements in all fields, thanks to the wise leadership, my family and all agencies and partners for the support they provided," adding, "My feeling now is not described by going through this new experience."

He pointed out that the mission of the first Emirati astronaut to the International Space Station was included in the "Emirates Astronauts Program" which is supervised by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center, and is the first integrated program in the Arab region that works to prepare national cadres participating in manned space trips to carry out various scientific missions It becomes part of the research being undertaken by the international scientific community to devise solutions to many challenges that in turn help improve human lives on Earth.

The activities of the sixth edition of the Education Interface Exhibition and the "Youth in the Middle East for 2020" conference, which lasted from 10 to 11 February, which was organized under the patronage of the team His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, concluded with the participation of more than 120 local, regional and international educational and academic institutions, in the presence of a number of government and private agencies, senior officials, experts and specialists in the education sector.
