The Congolese singer and dancer Fally Ipupa is the exceptional guest of RFI this Tuesday, February 11. In fifteen years of solo career, the singer modernized the Congolese rumba and launched it to conquer scenes from around the world. But the 42-year-old artist is not content to “make Paname or Kinshasa dance, to use one of his titles, he is also a man of commitment.

Artist and businessman, Fally Ipupa is also a father committed to the United Nations and with UNICEF for education and against malnutrition. For a year and a half, the singer and dancer has been the ambassador of Monusco, the United Nations Mission in the DRC, against the recruitment of child soldiers, a scourge in the east of the country.

“ We don't need child soldiers in the Congo. Rather, we need to help these children go to school, have a good education for the future of our country and our continent, ”says Fally Ipupa.

On video, on his social networks - among the most followed in the DRC - or in the field, the artist voluntarily puts his notoriety at the service of the cause of children.
