China announced today, Tuesday, that the Coruna virus has so far killed at least 1011 people, after Hubei province - the epidemic in the center of the country - has recorded 103 new deaths in the past 24 hours.

In the daily update of the death toll and injuries, the health authorities in Hubei - the province where the virus first appeared in its capital Wuhan in late December - said that the virus had killed 103 people and infected 2,097 others in the last 24 hours.

After these numbers, the number of people living with HIV in China rises to at least 42.2 thousand, according to Chinese government figures. Outside China, to date, only two deaths have been recorded from the virus, one in Hong Kong and the other in the Philippines.

In the years 2002 and 2003, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), which belongs to the new Coronavirus, has the same viral strain, killing 774 people worldwide.

In his first public appearance since the epidemic began, Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday visited a hospital in Beijing treating people infected with the virus. During his visit to the muzzle, Xi called for "more forceful and resolute" measures against the epidemic.

China is struggling to control the Corona pandemic, and to this end, it has taken strict measures that include closing entire cities and preventing their residents from leaving their homes unless necessary.

The epidemic prompted the World Health Organization to declare a global health emergency, and many governments impose travel and airline restrictions to suspend flights to and from China.

On the other hand, the official UAE news agency announced the registration of a new case of corona virus. The agency stated in a tweet via Twitter that the new case of Indian nationality, and that all recorded cases are stable, except for one under intensive care.
