Last year, the news came that airline Ryanair was leaving Skavsta as a base. They will continue to operate the airport, but to a lesser extent than before.
In the wake of that decision, Skavsta today notified 35 people with fixed-term employment from the ground staff.
- The message they left is that they will not continue with fixed-term employment after March 31, says Johan Einarsson, Ombudsman of the Transport Workers' Union.
On February 18, the union will meet the Skavsta leadership in a meeting on the way forward.
