"Volunteers to help in quarantine" is the translation of the name of the WeChat group created among others by Ruonan. This Chinese expatriate from Quebec and other volunteers have one goal: to help Chinese people who impose their own forties.

We mainly help them to do their shopping, to stay at home in quarantine. They can't get out, so we're doing everything to make this isolation easier. For some people, we help them by picking them up at the airport, so that passengers avoid taking public transport ... So we also avoid any spread of the virus. "

To return to Canada, Jane took a first plane from Hong Kong to New York, then a second from New York to Quebec. She quarantined herself a week ago. " I am very concerned, I am worried about the virus, " she says. Because when people are sick, they don't know it right away. I want no one to get sick, so for safety reasons, when I got home I said to myself: It's better to stay home for a fortnight to protect myself and others. Volunteers help me when I need food, they do my shopping, and they drop it off outside my front door so I can get it . "

As soon as her isolation ends, Jane hopes in turn to be able to help other Chinese in isolation in Quebec.
