10 February 2020New jihadist massacre in Nigeria: at least 30 people were killed last night in an attack near a village near Maiduguri, capital of the state of Borno, stronghold of the Islamic state in West Africa (Iswap).

The jihadists, a local government spokesman said in a statement, "killed at least 30 people, most of whom traveled on the road between Maiduguri and Damaturu, setting fire to 18 vehicles."

The region has recently passed under the control of Iswap, the rib of the fundamentalist group Boko Haram affiliated with the so-called "Islamic State", which in recent weeks has multiplied the attacks and kidnappings on this road itinerary.
