On the night of Sunday to Monday, a minor suspected of robbery with violence was arrested in Lille, we learned from a police source. One of the victims was injured and taken to hospital.
This couple in their 40s were walking rue d'Artois, in Lille, around 2 a.m. on Sunday. Suddenly, two people, with their faces hidden behind hoods, attacked the couple and stole the woman's mobile phone.
Precise reporting allows for questioning
But the victims did not give in and an argument broke out. The owner of the phone, an iPhone 6, managed to tear off the hood of one of the thieves. The man who accompanied him was beaten in the face. The attackers managed to escape.
However, when they contacted the police, the victims were able to provide a precise dress description of the thieves. It was thanks to this that one of them was identified and arrested shortly after by a police patrol. At the age of 17, he was placed in police custody. Injured in the face, the friend of the owner of the phone was taken care of by the emergency services and hospitalized at the Lille CHR.
