Nine people, including six children, were killed early Monday in the Aleppo Province. On Sunday, at least 20 people were killed during the offensive, which aims to recover an important highway connecting Aleppo with Damascus.

Since December, Syrian government forces, backed by Russia, have attacked Idlib in intensive raids in the country's northwestern parts.

Five Turkish soldiers have been killed in a Syrian raid against a Turkish posting in the city of Taftanaz in Idlib, local media reports. Another five were injured in the attack. The Turkish military should have been avenged, Turkish NTV reports, citing information from the Ministry of Defense.

Last week, seven Turkish soldiers and another person were killed in a grenade attack in Idlib. Turkey has sent reinforcements to Syria in the form of tanks, cannons and more personnel.

Hundreds of people have been killed in the Syrian offensive and 689,000 have fled in the direction of the Turkish border, according to the UN, which, along with aid organizations, has called for a cease-fire.
