The traffic police issued a new driver’s license to the Ural motorist Dmitry Smirnov, who was deprived of them in 2017 due to a mistake by the traffic police inspector. He stopped the drunk driver, who used a fake ID with Smirnov’s real data, and drew up a protocol on the basis of which the innocent driver, without suspecting it, was deprived of his rights. It took Smirnov more than two years to cancel the court decisions that had already entered into force. However, one of the old offenses, which was also mistakenly executed in his name, is still valid.
