The storm Ciara, which circulates in the northwest of the British Isles, will blow strongly from Sunday from 3:00 p.m. (Paris time) until Monday at the end of the morning, according to Météo France . It also involves risks of waves-submersion on the coast. At the end of the night, the weather was fairly calm in the departments concerned, but there were already more than 80 km / h in gusts from Finistère to the Channel coast, and up to 100 to 104 km / h locally (Ouessant, Ile de Batz, Barfleur and Cap Gris-Nez).

Intense winds

From the morning or early afternoon depending on the affected departments, there will be gusts of 60 to 90 km / h, locally peaks around 100. From the afternoon, they will intensify and spread to the North West regions of the country. These gusts will reach 100 to 120 km / h in the interior, punctually more. 110 to 140 km / h are expected on the coastal regions and near the northern borders.

These violent gusts of wind will then spread to an entire northern part of France, including the Grand-Est, before the end of the next night from Sunday to Monday. On the relief of the Vosges, gusts at 160 km / h are possible. Aggravating phenomenon: in a context of soggy soils, especially following the recent floods, falling trees are to be feared. On the fringes of the departments placed in orange vigilance, the wind will also blow in gusts, and some gusts at 100 km / h are likely.

The departments concerned are: Aisne (02), Ardennes (08), Aube (10), Calvados (14), Côtes-d'Armor (22), Eure (27), Eure-et-Loir (28), Finistère ( 29), Loire-Atlantique (44), Loiret (45), Manche (50), Marne (51), Haute-Marne (52), Meurthe-et-Moselle (54), Meuse (55), Morbihan (56) , Moselle (57), Nord (59), Oise (60), Orne (61), Pas-de-Calais (62), Bas-Rhin (67), Haut-Rhin (68), Paris and the inner suburbs (75 -92-93-94), Seine-Maritime (76), Seine-et-Marne (77), Yvelines (78), Somme (80), Vosges (88), Yonne (89), Essonne (91) and Val -d'Oise (95).
