Mayor Maebashi election NHK exit survey February 9 at 9:09

The Mayor of Maebashi election, which became a battle for six people including incumbents and newcomers, will be voted on the 9th and will be counted from 8:15 pm. In the exit survey of NHK, two new members, Kenji Iwagami, a former member of the Gunma Prefectural Assembly, and Ryu Yamamoto, the current instructor aiming for the third term, are competing violently.

NHK conducted an exit survey of 2,321 voters who completed voting at 20 polling stations in Maebashi City, and received responses from 1513 people, or 65.2%. Those who voted early by the 8th are not subject to the survey.

In the NHK exit survey, two former members of the Gunma Prefectural Assembly, Mr. Iwagami and his current incumbent Yamamoto, are competing violently. Yamamoto and Iwagami were competing in a survey of NHK's 4685 voters who had completed their early voting at 12 polling stations in Maebashi City for six days until the 8th.

Voting closes at 7:00 pm, with votes counting at 8:15 pm.

According to the Maebashi Election Commission, the turnout as of 6:00 pm is 28.22%, 7 points higher than the previous election four years ago. By the 8th, 31950 voters, who accounted for about 12% of voters, had an early vote, an increase of about 72% compared to the previous election.
