At a press conference in Angers, shortly before noon, the public prosecutor announced that the mother of little Vanilla, a one-year-old child missing on Friday, had been found. The child remains untraceable. An "abduction alert" was launched late Saturday evening by the authorities.

The mother, who had not delivered her daughter to the social worker referent in due time, was found in a hotel room in Nantes, said the public prosecutor of Angers, Eric Bouillard. Research continues to find Vanille. This one-year-old girl is normally housed with a host family.

Nathalie Stéphan, 39, the mother in question, was placed in police custody for the removal of a minor by ascendant and was examined by a doctor.
