SARS outnumbers 774 deaths in China with 803 new cases of pneumonia 7:28 on February 9

The number of people who died from the new coronavirus infection in China outpaced the global deaths of SARS, a new type of pneumonia that spread in 2003.

Hubei's health authorities, the worst affected country in China, said on Tuesday that 81 new people had died, bringing the total number of deaths in China to 803.

This is more than 774 deaths worldwide before the World Health Organization declared the WHO end with a new type of pneumonia, SARS, which was prevalent in 2003.
