The SDP has set up a project team to actively introduce local organic produce to school meals, and will consider policy recommendations to the government.

The SDP has launched a new project team with the aim of aggressively introducing local organic produce into its ingredients to improve the quality of elementary and junior high school meals and ensure healthy child development.

The team inspected advanced initiatives, such as Isumi City in Chiba Prefecture, which uses local organic rice for lunch at all public elementary and junior high schools, to see if food-based education has been achieved and increase farmers' incomes I'm going to investigate whether it's done.

Based on the results of the inspections, we will consider proposing policies to the government and calling on other parties to proceed with legislation.

He also stated that the use of local organic agricultural products for lunch would stimulate producers and lead to children's dietary education. We would like to promote policies to expand the use of organic ingredients.
