Documentation Foundation announced the launch of the new version 6.4 of the open-source office suite "LibreOffice" for computers equipped with Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac devices.

The German company explained that the new version of open source software contains many small improvements and fixes, in addition to many new functions that make office work more comfortable and productive, as the context menus for hyperlinks have become more consistent and attractive.

Writer includes many improvements related to working with tables, where the user finds in the sidebar a lot of elements of use to modify the tables on a large scale, in addition to the ability to create nested tables.

The German company extended the revision functionality in the new version 6.4, so when the user edits documents a lot and uses the comment function in LibreOffice, he can rely on the new "Solved" function, where the comment mark is marked and all the comments that are resolved are hidden.

The new version also provides a new full-sheet preview function that helps the user to avoid splitting tables and graphs on multiple pages, when wanting to export documents as a "PDF".

In the Impress and Draw programs, the German company has made it easy to import and edit PDF files, where text fields can be collected automatically, and thus easily standardized.

Among the new functions are also known as the QR Code Generator, in addition to improving the web version of LibreOffice Online.
