The president of the National Rally Marine Le Pen announced Saturday in Gironde the imminent launch of a new borrowing campaign from the French to finance its electoral campaigns, at a time when the movement is ordered by Russia to reimburse more than 9 million d euros.

"We are going to launch a loan campaign to finance our campaigns", announced to the press Mrs. Le Pen on the move to the market in Saint-André-de-Cubzac, in Haute-Gironde, an impoverished territory which has seen the anger of the "yellow vests" at the height of the mobilization.

RN vice-president Jordan Bardella had already mentioned this possibility on Friday, while the party, stuck for a long time in financial difficulties, was summoned on June 2 to a Russian court for the non-repayment of a loan of 9.14 millions of euros.

"We will reimburse it, don't worry about it," then assured Marine Le Pen during a press conference in Cavignac to present his support for around thirty RN or related lists in Gironde, which are being set up for the municipal authorities. in this department where she hopes to "surprise" and win "some cities".

The president of the RN clarified that the launching of this loan, "in the coming days", was not linked to the repayment of this debt, but would "in particular" finance the electoral campaigns.

"From the moment the government refuses to set up a democracy bank, we will build our own democracy bank," she said during her visit.

Worn by François Bayrou when he was briefly Keeper of the Seals in 2017, the idea of ​​a "democracy bank" had been buried by the government in mid-2018 on the grounds notably of the problems of neutrality that the interference of the state in party funding.

In the spring of 2019, on the eve of the European elections, Marine Le Pen's party had already launched a "patriotic loan" which had then raised 4 million euros, to deal with the refusal of the banks to lend him money. money.
