- It has been a dull winter weather, but we have managed well. We have had quite a few days when we have been able to put snow and right now we have ten slopes open, says Andreas Larsson.

So this winter, Säfsen has not been able to keep all 19 slopes open, nor are the cross-country ski trails available to ride.

The mountains in the north benefit

Jonas Rosén, CEO of Visit Dalarna, says this about the winter season's situation:

- The figures are not clear, but we have only formed an opinion after talking to the plants. And what we hear is that it is a little tougher in southern Dalarna because of the bad nature snow, but that it is between one and two meters of snow and high occupancy in northern Dalarna, he says.

- When it comes to southern Dalarna, a green winter has made it a challenge to sell day passes at the ski resorts.

The lack of snow has led to a move to the northern parts, which would otherwise have been in central Sweden, according to Rosén.

Positive before the Sports Act

On the other hand, it looks like it will brighten up for the upcoming sports holiday weeks.

- In the mountains you can see that there is a high pressure, there are only a few items available over the sports holiday weeks, he says.
