In Japan, 41 more people were confirmed today on large cruise ships, where 20 patients were confirmed by yesterday (6th). Nine Koreans aboard the boat were not included in the list of confirmed patients.

We will look at the reporter's reporter Yoo Sung-jae first, and then connect directly to Yokohama, Japan, where the ship is anchored.

Diamond Princess is a large cruise ship that arrived off Yokohama on the 3rd.

Of the 3,700 passengers and crew on arrival, 273 people were screened for infections, including fever and coughing, or close contacts with a confirmed person who arrived in Hong Kong last month. Ten of them were confirmed yesterday, 10 were infected yesterday, and an additional 41 were confirmed today.

[Kato / Japan Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare: The final 171 test results proved 41 positive.]

This increased the total number of infected passengers to 61.

A blue screen was installed between the Diamond Princess and the quay to transport infected people.

It is expected that it will take considerable time to transfer all 41 additional checkers.

The Japanese government moved them to medical institutions in Kanagawa Prefecture, Tokyo and Chiba, and began quarantine treatment.

Cruise ships now contain some 2,600 passengers and 1,000 crew members who are unable to land.

[Milena Basso / American Passenger: You must be isolated in a safe and hygienic place, not in a contaminated cruise cabin. President Trump, save us.]

The Japanese government will also ensure that passengers who are negatively judged or have no suspicious symptoms wait in the cabin for at least 19 days.

Yoo Sung-jae, now you see the lights on the cruise ship. So are you still carrying patients on board?

<Reporter>

41 infected people were confirmed today.

Work began to transport them to land by 12 noon, with nine ambulances going back and forth between the port and the hospital.

While many ambulances are indiscriminately controlled, the ambulance itself is said to have mobilized a limited number of ambulances to prevent accidents that are carriers of viruses.

In addition to travel time on land, the transport is still in progress eight hours later.

None of the 41 Koreans who were confirmed 3rd today were Koreans.

Therefore, all nine Koreans identified as five crew members and four passengers are currently on board.

It's going to be quite frustrating and frightening for the people on the ship to keep growing, so how are you doing on the ship? <Reporter>

Although it is hard to see now, passengers in cabins with balconies have been out for a short time during the day.

Yesterday, passengers in cabins without windows were allowed to walk in the outer corridors. Today, the cruise has set a number for each cabin, allowing air to be breathed outside for a while.

However, there have been several on-board announcements that require wearing gloves and masks when going out and staying at least 1 meter away when talking to other passengers.

As soon as all of the confirmation transfers are complete, the cruise ship is likely to go out to sea and spend the night.
