This was reported on the website of the State Duma.

Volodin said that "this problem was voiced yesterday by President Vladimir Putin - there are cases when, against the backdrop of reports of an outbreak of coronavirus infection, the prices of individual drugs are oversized by a hundred times."

As the Chairman of the State Duma notes, “the president emphasized that the reaction should be the most serious, up to the revocation of the license from such pharmacies, because it is unacceptable to cash in on people.”

Volodin added that “interaction with the Accounts Chamber and the Federal Antimonopoly Service is also necessary so that such situations do not arise.”

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with the government, demanded that licenses be taken from pharmacies that inflate prices due to the spread of coronavirus.

As RT wrote on February 4, an appeal was sent to Roszdravnadzor and Rospotrebnadzor with a proposal to ban pharmacies from raising prices for masks and a number of drugs during the spread of dangerous diseases.
