- We understand that this will mean a big change for all dog owners. It is a political decision that has to do with the economic situation that we have in the municipality, resulting in savings. It costs money. Money that we do not currently have, ”says Lars Elfstrand, head of service at the service management in a press release.
Instead, the municipality refers to the dog owners to use the municipality's regular garbage cans, which are found in playgrounds, in the center and in Lillängshamnen or take home and throw away with their usual household garbage. In a press release, the municipality points out that there is no obligation to find out about dog bait.
- It is the dog owners who are responsible for taking care of the dog bag. The difference will be that everyone cannot throw the bag directly on the walk, says Lars Elfstrand.
