There are 563 deaths of new coronavirus infections in mainland China yesterday (5 days).

The daily death toll was 60 consecutive days, surpassing 70 for the first time yesterday.

Cumulative confirmations across China surpassed 28,000, an increase of more than 3,700 today.

In Wuhan, a 30-hour-old newborn was confirmed as a new corona, and in Zhejiang Ningbo, a patient who stopped by a vegetable store for a while without a mask appeared to be infected.

As the spread did not diminish, many local governments were forced to quarantine themselves for one to two weeks.

Increasingly, cities block off apartment complexes and have proclaimed restrictions on going out of their homes.

Public security authorities visited Hubei, including Wuhan, and crack down on outsiders, but those still avoiding the network remain.

In southern Fujian province, an infected person concealed the fact that he had been to Wuhan, and attended several banquets.

Hong Kong, the country's first victims, says it will extend the 14-day quarantine mandate for Hubei province visitors to Hong Kong and tourists from all over China.
