The Dubai Health Authority has requested all private hospitals licensed by the authority to obtain international accreditation for this category of facilities by one of the bodies accredited by the International Health Quality Association (isqua), such as the Joint International Committee JCI, the accreditation of the Canadian Society, and the Australian Council for Standards of Care ACHSI Primary Health Care, within three years from the date of obtaining the facility's license, to avoid any procedures or penalties.

The authority said, in a circular addressed to Dubai's private hospitals, that "these measures come in line with the strategic plan of the Dubai Health Authority, and the commitment of the health regulation sector to continuing to enhance health services, and ensure that health facilities comply with the best international standards to ensure the provision of the best health care services, to serve patients In the emirate of Dubai.
