Li Wenliang confirmed in December last year that seven patients at Wuhan Seafood Market were diagnosed with acute respiratory syndrome, SARS-like symptoms, and informed a group chat room with medical alumni.

As the news spread, Wenliang and his colleagues were arrested four days later in a public security charge for disseminating false facts.

Wen Liang was released after the Chinese government officially confirmed the new coronavirus, but he was confirmed for the new corona on Monday after he was hospitalized after treating a patient in a hospital.

On Monday, Chinese netizens celebrated on social media, including news of the death of Wen Liang, a symbol of the government's blockade of information and an early response.

Wuhan Central Hospital of China denied the death, saying, "It is in critical condition, but in urgent treatment."

The World Health Organization (WHO) says the number of new doctors declined for the first time in China on Thursday, but it is too early to say the peak.

WHO still does not know the cause and epicenter of the new corona and says it will convene a research and innovation forum next week with scientists from around the world.
