Muhammad Abdul Malik - Istanbul

Turkish Health Minister Fakhreddin Kocaeli said that his country will begin tomorrow, Thursday, conducting checks for all travelers coming from abroad with thermal cameras in all international airports in the country.

Kocaeli said that his government aims, through this step, to reduce the risk to zero, to protect the Turkish citizen from the Corona virus circulating these days.

He added that "the World Health Organization reports that stopping travel is not necessary, but we will stop traveling with China as of this evening ... there are no cases in our country infected with the virus, but we know that it will come from the ports, and we will use all our capabilities to prevent its entry."

The Minister of Health confirmed that no case of HIV infection has been established throughout Turkey until today, and that the general condition of the suspected patient in the "Buyukcekmece" area of Istanbul is good and is being monitored.

He added, "We should not be concerned about schools, as the Corona virus has not been observed so far in ages under fifteen."

Medical respirators
In his speech, the minister also touched on the issue of complaints that reach the ministry regarding the high price of medical respirators, and said, "There is no need to use health respirators, and we note their high prices as a result of excess demand in the market, and many complaints in this regard have reached our ministry and the Drug and Medical Devices Corporation." ".

He pointed out that they are making continuous efforts with the Ministry of Commerce in this regard, and suggested that citizens apply to the Consumer Arbitration Commission to protect their rights, although there is sufficient production capacity to produce health masks.

Quarantine
Last Saturday, Turkey carried out an evacuation of 32 of its citizens, with 10 people of different nationalities (6 Azeris, 3 Georgians, and one Albanian), through a military plane that the Ministry of Health turned into an ambulance, with a large crew of pilots and paramedics exceeding their number 60 people.

The nationals were transported in 17 ambulances to a hospital in Ankara, and placed under quarantine in individual rooms for more than 14 days, subject to checks and close medical supervision.

At the beginning of this month, Ankara sent medical aid to China via the same military cargo plane it sent for the purpose of evacuating its citizens in Wuhan, China. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chuning said that Ankara's assistance embodied the sincere relations with Beijing.

Turkish aid included about 100 biological hazard protective vests, more than 90,000 medical masks, and 100 disposable protective clothing.
