Dadgostar is currently a deputy party leader in the Left Party and has expressed interest in becoming a party leader himself. Now Östergötland as the first district nominates her for the party leader post.

"We see her as knowledgeable and confident and she has the right conditions to lead the party forward," says Anders Lind, district chairman.

According to Lind, she has a good working relationship with current party leader Jonas Sjöstedt, and he believes that Dadgostar together with Ulla Andersson, who recently announced that she will not be running for the party leader post, can form a strong team together.

- I think Ulla can be a good mentor to Nooshi in a party leadership role, says Anders Lind.

Andersson: "Good news"

Ulla Andersson has herself paid tribute to Dadgostar on facebook since announcing her candidacy.

“Good news, Nooshi will be a very good party chairman if she is elected. She is knowledgeable, intelligent, sharp and analytical and also both fun and pleasant, ”Ulla Andersson wrote.

Dadgostar has studied the law program at Stockholm University. She joined the party as a 14-year-old because she "liked Young Left's feminist campaigns." In 2018, Dadgostar was appointed by the Left Party's party board as deputy party leader.

Who will become the next leader of the Left Party will be decided during the congress in Västerås May 21-24.
