How many points squandered by Lyon! In a hurry to get closer to the Ligue 1 podium, OL again missed an opportunity Wednesday against Amiens (0-0) during the 23rd day, like Montpellier, joined at home by Metz (1-1) .

- Lyon far from the count and the podium -

The Champions League goal is starting to get complicated for OL, who burned a new joker Wednesday night against the relegated Amiens (0-0), four days after a cruel defeat in Nice (2-1).

In front of a sparse public at Décines-Charpieu, the trainer Rudi Garcia had however aligned together his two leading attackers, Moussa Dembélé and Karl Toko Ekambi, but this duo walked on their feet.

In a really sluggish match, the Lyonnais did not shake themselves until the end of the match, after the entry of the promising attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki (16) at the hour of play. The latter sent a strike on the uprights ( 71), then forced the goalkeeper to a spectacular parade (80).

As for the goal scored at the end of the match by Lyon, it was canceled because the ball was out (87th).

For Amiens, this draw is synonymous with hope for coach Luka Elsner, very threatened after a series of negative results.

On the other hand, the result is infuriating for OL (33 pts), which remains seven lengths from third place occupied by Rennes (40 pts). And that could do the business of Marseille (43 pts), dolphin of the untouchable Paris SG, traveling not far from there, in Saint-Etienne, Wednesday evening ...

- Montpellier misses the opportunity -

Montpellier does not raise its head: after a week "horribilis" which saw it fall in the knockout stages of the Coupe de France against fans of Belfort (0-0 ap, 5 tab to 4) before sinking against Paris SG in Ligue 1 (5-0), the Hérault club was joined before Metz (1-1).

The MHSC thought it would facilitate the task by opening the score with a beautiful floating strike from Téji Savanier (13th).

Then, despite a penalty caused and then stopped by the Montpellier goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli (19th) and several parades of the Argentinian porter, Montpellier never managed to take shelter, the goal of Gaëtan Laborde being logically canceled for offside (57th).

This allowed Metz to snatch a deserved point on a powerful shot from Farid Boulaya (80th), leaving Montpellier stagnate in 5th place (34 pts).

- Nîmes finally goes on -

For the first time in the season, Nîmes has chained two wins in a row in Ligue 1, enough to maintain the hope of staying in L1: after the 3-1 success against Monaco, a 2-0 victory against Dijon on Wednesday.

For the time being, the "Crocos" are eighteenth and barragists, three lengths from the Dijonnais, their adversary of the evening, whom they have crunched in the gusts of wind from the Costières.

Yassine Benrahou scored very quickly, in an action in two stages (4th). Then Nolan Roux, who arrived in Nîmes at the end of January to contribute to this rescue mission, scored a gag goal by countering the goalkeeper's clearance (44th). And the Dijon recruit Yassine Benzia was not very lucky when he saw his strike successively hit the two posts before coming out (76th) ...

- Toulouse relapses, draws in Brest and Reims -

The thinning lasted only one match for Toulouse: after ending Amiens (0-0) in its 11-game losing streak in Ligue 1, the TFC relapsed at home against Strasbourg (1-0).

The executioner of Toulousains is called Abdul Majeed Waris (75th), who made the difference just two minutes after coming into play.

No winner on the other hand between Brest and Bordeaux, which however evolved in numerical superiority (1-1). There was also no draw between Reims and Nice (1-1) at the Auguste-Delaune stadium, where the defender Yunis Abdelhamid, recently extended, still scored for his team, as in Angers (4-1) at the weekend latest.
