Lavrov noted US actions such as a ban on charter and regular flights to all Cuban airports except Havana, numerous visa restrictions, and a campaign against Cuban doctors.
"The sanctions introduced by Washington against Havana prove that in the pursuit of" strangulation "of the Cuban economy, the US deliberately violates human rights - after all, ordinary citizens suffer," he added.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow categorically does not accept Washington’s anti-Cuban sanctions.
