An investigation was opened after the fire that ravaged part of the Alphonse de Lamartine nursery school in Le Havre (Seine-Maritime) on Tuesday. The police do not favor any runway, even if two points of departure of the flames have been discovered, reports 76actu.

No school Thursday and Friday

Fire specialists and insurance experts were expected on site this Wednesday. The agents of the technical services of the City of Le Havre are working on the rapid reopening of the premises. Schoolchildren cannot be welcomed there on Thursday or Friday, according to Florence Thibaudeau-Rainot, assistant mayor in charge of education.

Assistance will be available for parents who cannot have their children looked after at home. Schooling conditions will not return to normal immediately.
