The World Health Organization says it is not yet a worldwide pandemic for a new coronavirus infection that begins in China and spreads around the world.

According to AFP, Reuters and Bloomberg News, Sylvie Bryan, director of the WHO Global Infection Risk Response Bureau, said, "We are currently in a stage of simultaneous outbreaks."

He says the new corona is spreading rapidly in Wuhan and Hubei provinces in China, but is spreading sporadically in other parts of China.

In other parts of China and outside of China, he said, "it's the current strategy to prevent transmission. We want to make sure there's no second scenario like Hubei."

This is based on the statement that the United States is preparing a pandemic for the new corona.

Anthony Pouch, director of the Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, told The New York Times that "the new corona is very, very contagious and almost certainly will develop into a global epidemic."

Brian also says 19 countries have officially informed the WHO of restrictions on new coronas, which the WHO has asked for clarification.

Brian says the new corona hasn't seen a lot of strains yet.

The WHO stressed that countries that fled from China hoped to "rebalance" the policy.
